Rome Photo Lab is an international street photography festival that brings together photographers from all over the world for exhibitions, talks, workshops, photowalks, networking opportunities and live events in Rome.

The festival starts on 30 September 2026 with the workshop programme and continues until 4 October 2026.

Filmriss has been invited to participate in an international group exhibition at Villa Altieri in Rome, showcasing alongside selected photography collectives from around the world.

We will be exhibiting a curated selection of 20 photographs in a 50x35 cm format. The conceptual theme for our contribution is:

"Berlin's Public Living Rooms: Spätis, Parks, and Common Grounds"

Description:

Where does private life end and public culture begin? "Public Living Rooms" captures Berlin's distinctive subculture centered around parks and Spätis. Spaces that serve as the democratic living rooms of the city. The series redefines urban architecture not just as concrete and green spaces, but as collective environments of warmth, dialogue, and social ritual.

Key Details:

Format & Style: All submissions must be strictly in black and white.

Production: Printing costs will be fully covered by the Rome Photo Lab.

Submission Requirements:

1) Membership: Applicants must be active Filmriss Pro Members.

2) Submission Guidelines: Please submit exactly two images via email to marvin@filmriss.club. Note that WeTransfer links will not be accepted. Please send them as direct attachments or via a permanent cloud link.

3) Attendance: Presence at the festival in Rome is required. Due to venue guidelines, we are unable to exhibit works by artists who cannot attend the event in person.

4) Submission Deadline: June 21, 2026, at 18:00 CEST.

5) Selection Notification: Filmriss will select the final 20 images. Selected artists will be notified between June 22 and June 28, 2026.
